This Payment Policy applies to purchases made through nycmediaarts.org by NYC Media Arts Playing Cards. We currently operate from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. By placing an order, you agree to the payment practices described here, together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported by your device
  • Afterpay (buy now, pay later) for eligible purchases

Currency & Pricing

All prices are displayed and processed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Unless a product page clearly states otherwise, prices shown include GST. Your bank may show currency conversion fees if your account is not in AUD; those are imposed by your financial institution, not by us.

GST (Goods and Services Tax)

In Australia, GST is a 10% tax on most goods and services as set out in A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (Cth). The prices you see on our site are inclusive of GST where GST applies. If you require a tax invoice for your records, contact us with your order number and Australian Business Number (ABN) where applicable.

When Payment Is Charged

Your selected payment method is typically charged when you submit and we accept your order at checkout. You may see an authorisation or pending transaction before it posts as a final charge. If we cancel an order before fulfilment, we will refund the applicable amount.

Our checkout processes align with PCI DSS requirements: we do not retain your full card number, CVV/CVC on our own servers. Card details are processed by PCI DSS-compliant providers using tokenisation.

  • Analysis of device, IP, velocity, and behavioural signals
  • Review of high-value orders or mismatched billing/delivery details

Failed Payments

If your payment is declined, your order will not be confirmed. Common causes: insufficient funds, expired card, incorrect billing info, issuer fraud blocks. Please verify your details and try another payment method, or contact your bank. Items in your cart are not reserved until payment succeeds.

Promotional Codes & Discounts

  • Only one promotional code may be applied per order
  • Codes cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated
  • Codes are subject to expiry dates, minimum spend, and product exclusions
  • Refunds for returned items reflect the amount actually paid after discounts

Refund Processing

Refunds for eligible returns are handled per our Returns & Refunds Policy. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method. Banks typically take several business days to post the credit. Afterpay refunds may adjust outstanding instalments per Afterpay’s rules.
