Shipping Policy

NYC Media Arts Playing Cards (nycmediaarts.org) dispatches orders from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and ships Australia-wide to residential, business, and approved postal addresses. This Shipping Policy explains how we prepare, send, and support delivery of your order.
This policy is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which forms part of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Our goods come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. You may be entitled to remedies such as repair, replacement, or refund where there is a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, including where goods are not of acceptable quality or do not match description. Nothing in this policy limits any remedy you may have under the ACL.
Processing Times
After your payment is successfully authorised and cleared, we typically process and pack orders within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Victorian and Australian national public holidays). You will receive an order confirmation by email when your purchase is placed and a separate dispatch notification when the parcel leaves our facility.
Orders placed on weekends, public holidays, or after our daily cut-off may begin processing on the next business day. During high-volume periods (holiday peaks, sales events, or limited-edition releases), processing may occasionally extend beyond 1–2 business days.
Estimated delivery windows begin after dispatch, not from the moment you place your order.
Shipping Methods & Rates
We ship using Australia Post services. Our current flat rates (Australian dollars, inclusive of GST) are:
- Standard shipping: $9.95 flat rate per order; estimated 3–7 business days from dispatch to most Australian metro and regional locations (remote areas may take longer).
- Express shipping: $14.95 flat rate per order; estimated 1–3 business days from dispatch, subject to Australia Post service standards and your location.
Delivery estimates are guides only and are not guaranteed delivery dates. Actual transit time depends on origin, destination, weather, public holidays, carrier capacity, and events outside our reasonable control. Rural, remote, and island communities may experience longer transit.
Free Shipping
We offer free Standard shipping on qualifying orders of $100 AUD or more (order subtotal after applicable discounts). The free shipping benefit applies to our Standard Australia Post service only. If you choose Express, the express flat rate applies.
Free shipping is applied automatically at checkout when your cart meets the threshold. Promotional codes or campaign-specific rules may modify thresholds; any variation will be disclosed clearly before you pay.
Tracking
When your order ships, we send a dispatch email that includes tracking information where Australia Post provides it. You can monitor progress via Australia Post’s tracking tools or our Order Tracking page.
Tracking events can take several hours to appear after lodgement. If you do not receive a dispatch notice within a reasonable period, contact us and we will investigate.
Delivery Areas
We currently ship to all Australian states and territories: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory, and the Northern Territory, including many regional and remote localities served by Australia Post.
We do not offer international shipping at this time. Our checkout is configured for Australian delivery addresses only.
Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate, including unit or level details, business name (if applicable), and a valid mobile number for delivery updates.
Delays & Issues
Delivery can be affected by severe weather, bushfire or flood impacts, industrial action, carrier backlogs, incorrect addresses, access restrictions, and peak periods such as Christmas. Where delay arises from carrier handling after handover, we will assist with enquiries and claims processes.
If a parcel is returned to sender because of an address error you supplied, refusal, or failure to collect from a post office, we may contact you to arrange re-delivery. Reasonable re-shipping fees may apply where the ACL does not require us to bear those costs.
PO Boxes
We deliver to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers, and Parcel Collect locations where the selected Australia Post service supports that destination type. Some high-value consignments may require signature on delivery.
Lost/Damaged Packages
Lost in transit: If tracking stalls for an extended period or indicates loss, email us at [email protected] or call +61 3 9000 0199 with your order number. We will coordinate with Australia Post. Where goods fail to arrive and the ACL consumer guarantees apply, we will provide a remedy consistent with the ACL.
Marked delivered but not received: First check secure areas, building concierges, housemates, and neighbours. Australia Post may leave items in a safe place where authorised. If you still cannot locate the item, contact us promptly.
Damage: Our playing cards are packed to reduce movement and edge impact. If outer packaging or product is damaged on arrival, photograph the carton and items, keep all packing materials, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and images.
